about
In this track you can hear bird song at the beginning and end, this was not added in or intentional! It was so hot when we were recording, that we had to have the windows open. We were recording in the middle of the country side so didn't worry about background noise, and the birds made an unintentional cameo appearance.
It was also never intended to be D&B song, it was written for a side project Jas and Bob were working on with Emma McMahon (Busty La Roux). However after Drew saw them perform he couldn't get the song out of his head, and insisted that we cover it!
lyrics
I tried to drag myself out of that hole I called my life,
But the light is blinding me,
I tried to drag myself out of that hole I called my life,
I’m just longing to be free.
Oh, Won’t someone help me,
Oh, Won’t someone help me please,
I’m not asking for too much, I’m just down on my luck.
Oh, Won’t someone help me.
I’m just trying to learn to love the woman I call my wife,
I can see her leaving me,
I’m trying to love the woman I call my wife,
But I don’t think she’s trying to love me.
Chorus
Well, I got out of that hole I called my life,
And I’m more scared then I was before,
Well I got out of that hole I called my life,
I don’t know what to live for.
Chorus

Two people who should have known better but unfortunately have been drinking on a number of seams and laying a tune to the dancing monkeys, but enough about us... how are you?
Niall is an amazing singer-songwriter we met in NY, and he kept us going! This album is all the other cool people we met when we were across there playing tribute to him. Take a listen! Drew & Bob
